The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) announced that effective with the 2010-2011 academic year, the pitching distance for high school varsity pitchers will increase from 40 feet to 43 feet.
Congratulations to the University of Washington! 2009 NCAA Division I Softball National Champions. The Huskies defeated the University of Florida, 3-2, to capture the national championship.
Congratulations to the Lock Haven University! 2009 NCAA Division II Softball National Champions. The Eagles defeated Alabama-Huntsville, 8-0, to capture the national championship.
Congratulations to Messiah College! 2009 NCAA Division III Softball National Champions. The Falcons defeated Coe College ,2-0, to capture the national championship.
