About Us
Ultimate Fastpitch's main goal is to help aspiring female athletes to become the very best fastpitch softball player that they can be. Ultimate Fastpitch offers hitting lessons, pitching lessons, and defensive instruction for all softball positions. In addition, we also offer a unique recruiting service for student-athletes looking to continue their educational / playing career at the collegiate level. Ultimate Fastpitch serves the greater Albany, NY area.
John graduated from Cortland State University with a degree in Physical Education and a concentration in coaching. John has been coaching fastpitch softball for over two decades, having spent time at both the high school and collegiate level. In addition to John's vast softball experience, he spent many years as the Director / Lead Instructor for the Oneonta Recreation Youth Baseball Program in upstate New York. John also played seven years of semi-pro baseball before turning over to fastpitch softball.
John is currently the Director of Fastpitch Softball at Frozen Ropes (Albany, NY). Prior to joining the Frozen Ropes staff, John was a Volunteer Assistant Softball Coach for one of North Carolina's premier 18u travel ball teams, the Triangle Lightning.
John's Coaching Experience:
- 9 Years of NCAA Division I Softball Coaching Experience.
- 3 Years of NCAA Division III Softball Coaching Experience.
- 6 Years of High School Softball Coaching Experience.
- 14 Years of Youth Baseball Coaching Experience.
John's Major Coaching Achievements:
- Voted 2000 Patriot League Coach of the Year - NCAA Division I.
- Associated with the production of over 60+ All-League selections.
- 1998 Ivy League Championship - Harvard University.
- 100% NCAA Graduation Rate.
